Support the Originals Stamp

Description

A stamp to support the original movies of the legendery characters of horror, who are all spawning remakes and retellings now a days, now i'm not one of the people that say "NO!" flat out to the remakes, i give them a chance and i judge them fairly, some i love (like friday the 13th and Texas Chainsaw) some i hate (like Halloween) but through it all i think it would be such a shame if the originals were forgotten.

This isn't just a stamp, to extreme horror fans like me and many other deviants, this stamp is representing their original favorite slasher characters, which is really great when you think about the movies that are being remade so horribly these days. Myself, the 2009 remake of my favorite slasher movie, My Bloody Valentine, was extremely annoying. Without the original film's dreary Cape Breton setting, authentic costumes, acting and soundtrack, it just wasn't the same. And how many other horror classics have been remade badly? Carrie suffered twice, both in 2002 and 2013. Friday the 13th has had so many follow-ups that its got a bad reputation, and then there's the 1980 film Prom Night, the 1970's film Black Christmas, The 1986 April Fool's Day... too many to list, unfortunately. Lately I've discovered that the 1976 classics Alice Sweet Alice and The Little Girl who Lives Down the Lane are being remade, it's very disappointing to someone who grew up watching only the originals and rooting for the various killers in the slasher genre.

That's what makes this stamp so great, it stands up for the movies that are being left in the dust. I love how the pictures within the stamp fade in and out like watching a video, the text font is a great choice and you picked some of the more iconic slashers to put on the stamp. Amazing job! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=":) (Smile)"/>
