This is a PsychOz Collaboration. So The story behind this piece is *COVENS-OZ sketched these steam punk inspired X-Men for a round in #Battle-Artist, It quickly became popular with many wanting to see a coloured version and a few giving it a colouring them selves, and i'm no different, i loved it and had to colour it, i think i managed to pull off some of the new techniques i've been playing with, pretty happy with the final result, hope you all like
The thumbnail of this work definitely stood out to me. But in terms of crtiques, I'm going to point out some things.
On the woman, the focal point of this work, I'm confused of what her skin tone is supposed to be. Her face is completely white, and so is her thigh (I'm assuming the white area on her leg is her thigh, due to lack of wrinkles). However, the area between the puffy short sleeve and her glove is tanned. Is she supposed to be snow-white pale, or tanned?
I also feel like the title "X-MEN" does not stand out very well for me, and kind of blends into the background more than it should. Maybe it is because it is because the main color of this work tends to belong to the brown family. Do you notice how the vibrant violet coloring of parts of the girl's outfit makes her stand out? Maybe the title should be of a more vibrant color.
Overall, it is a very good work. It definitely looks pro. I hope my critique was useful.
