House of Wax, not so much a remake of the original with the legendary Vincent Price but an inspired spin off.
The Original made way back in 1953 depicted the story of a disfigured wax sculptor who opens up a "House of Wax" just at the same time as people from the town start to go missing, unknown to others the psychotic sculptor is using real people for his Wax Creations.
The Remake tells the tale of 6 friends on the way to a football game when they run into car trouble and come across abandoned town (like they always do). In that town is a once famous "House of Wax" where they have now resorted to using real people in their twisted display. One of the killers in that movie is named "Vincent" as a homage to the original and he wears a Wax mask. I really like his look and think he is one of the best modern slashers. Say what you will about the 2005 version but i for one enjoy it. It gets a lot of stick for having Paris Hilton in it but honestly she plays her part well since it is basically her anyway.
