Growing Insanity

This Drawing was Ripped from my Mind back in 2007,It was Birthed from my Love of Surrealism and Playing on words. "Growing Insanity" is a term commonly used to describe the Madness building up inside of someone, As if Insanity was every so slowly Creeping into all the Nooks and Crannies of your Brain. However when I hear this expression I can't help but think of an Awfully Insane Creature being Grown in a Sack by Crazy Parents who Melt in Delight at their Offspring's Hereditary Madness as it Ferments and Grows before their very Eyes. Just as they did before their own Psychotic Parents

I've had many Comments over the years from People seeing Wildly different Messages and Meanings within this Image, Ones I didn't even Intend such as Statements on Politics and Parenting. How Modern Living has developed and seems to be Growing it's own brand of Insanity inside of us more and more each day. In all Honesty though, All i saw 7 years ago was just a fun Play on words that I could Twist in a Visually Shocking direction, But I'm very Extremely Pleased it seems to Spark up more than what I initially Saw myself, It's what Art is meant to be all about. So tell me... What do you See?

Sadly the Original was Destroyed in a Clean up so I am left with this rather Old, Rustic Scan as I didn't have Decent equipment back then. In a way though i feel the Grittiness and Grain of the Scan adds to the Mood, It brings the scene to a Whole new level. Happy Accidents are Awesome like that. I have played with the Idea of Redrawing this as it is special to me, It brought a lot into my Life, But maybe it's more Meaningful and Beautiful that it stays Destroyed as another mark of Symbolism... We shall see.

This piece was drawn on Cartridge Paper with a Variety of Pencils ranging from 3H to 6B. It was then Imported into Photoshop CS2 and tweaked slightly.
